Cole continues to eye the disruptor, his voice level as he continues.

In the Corridor...
"Given the name my boys heard your girlfriend say, I doubt it," the Orion fires back. He gestures with his disruptor as he adds, "Now, you and your friends seem pretty handy and capable, so I bet you have a good idea about what these things can do --" he extends his arm and begins to aim the weapon. "-- so, tell me what I want to know."

Garav, who was facing the two goons, steps back and, in one fluid motion, spins and grasps the mob lieutenant's wrist, twisting it until he's able to grab the disruptor with his other hand. The Orion retreats toward his compatriots as Garav levels the disruptor at him.

"We're not interfering with your business. Just looking to make a cold contact for business of our own; go back to your drinks," he says authoritatively. As they begin to gather up their groggy friends, Garav adds, "I'll hold onto this," indicating the disruptor.

The goons are soon enough clear of the injured Ally, and Garav kneels down to check on her.

OOC: Ran out of time on this post, so I'll leave this here for a response.

Treyva returned the smile. Without looking down, he reached to his left wrist and pressed the "Go" button on his communicator.

In the corridor...
Ally stirs, though she's clearly in a lot of pain, with her teeth gritted and some fear in her eyes. As Garav takes a look at her nasty disruptor wound, their wrist comms buzz once.

"Can you stand? I think it's time to go," the Andorian asks. "Let's get you to Dr. Dourap."

Ally nods, and Garav and Cole gently help her to her feet. She tries to put pressure on her left leg and winces. The two security officers help her along the corridor, where they meet Mia, Treyva, and the others, along with Gavreh-Taan's associates. The sister quips that Klingon authorities are probably on their way, and suggests using the bar entrance to leave. The egress is slow going, but they manage to exit the bar and skirt the lot as about a dozen Klingons in local security armor rush in through the main entrance; however, Ally is starting to do rather poorly, and leans heavily on Garav and Cole as they practically carry her the remainder of the way to the truck.

The truck is a tight fit with three extra passengers, and it doesn't give the doc much space to administer first aid.

OOC: This is considered the end of the scene for purposes of Ally not dying.

Phil, Dr. Dourap has a patient! This will be a first aid attempt, so Daring + Medicine (12) vs. Difficulty 1. Dourap doesn't have an applicable focus, but his Field Medicine talents do apply (so, he's not going to be penalized for treating her in a cramped vehicle passenger compartment).

Dourap examines Ally's leg and  makes a first aid roll. (Field Medicine - When Attempting a Medicine Task, you may ignore any increase in Difficulty for working without the proper tools or equipment.)  Dourap says "Don't worry after a little work you won't even notice this happened".

OOC: 1 Success vs. Difficulty 1. Success! Ally retains the Injured condition, but her life is no longer in danger.

Even in such close quarters, the good doctor's practiced skill makes quick work of Ally's wound, and she's resting comfortably by the time the truck reaches a small structure that could best be described as an office complex, made from the same prefab modular structures as the club.

As the crew pile out of the van as if it were a clown car -- Dr. Dourap staying with his patient -- a burly-looking Orion (aren’t they all?) in a stylish suit and turtleneck steps out from the main entrance, looking like he’s about to reach into his jacket when he spies Taan’s associates.

“Ish, what the kirl are you doing bringing people here? You know the boss won’t like it!” he warns in a rough voice.

“Ish,” the sister, dismisses him with a wave of her new darshek stick. She says, “They have coin.”

The guard shrugs and lets the crew enter, though he scrutinizes each newcomer as they pass and follows the last one inside.

The interior is as drab as one would expect a non-descript office to be, and it appears all-but abandoned as Ish and the two men lead the crew deeper into the modular complex. Finally, they stop at a set of double doors, which swish open at the touch of a button.

The “office” on the other side looks more like a den, dimly lit and dominated by a traditional Orion table and pillow arrangement. The centerpiece of the table is a large hookah, a finely-crafted brass or bronze piece, surrounded by various fruits and cheeses and a pitcher of some sort of dark burgundy drink, which Treyva thinks may be bloodwine.

Behind the culinary display lounges a barrel chested Orion male in rich, traditional robes, his outer robe lying open as he draws on the mouthpiece of one of the many hoses of the hookah. When he sees his associates, he smiles a big goofy smile, which fades quickly when he sees the six figures behind them.

“What is this?” he asks slowly in a deep voice, smoke billowing out as he speaks.

Ish gestures toward the crew. “They’re looking for information, and are willing to pay,” she says.

The man grunts and sets down the mouthpiece. "Welcome, then. I'm Gavreh-Taan."

As Ish and her two companions find places at the table to partake of the food, Mia steps forward and replies, "I'm Mia Tyler, and these are my friends. We've been having some problems with a group of persons known to you. We need to find their home base."

Behind the crew, Garav and Cole notice that the one burly guard has turned to three, each one wearing the same suit combination.

"How am I supposed to know these 'persons?'" Taan asks.

"You arranged for various shipments to a number of their...locations," the agent answers. "Based on information I've received from my friends, your connection to them is tangential and no longer active."

"And your connection to them?" Each word of his has so far been drawn out, either from the effects of his drug of choice or a big, dopey personality, the crew isn't sure which.

OOC: I'll leave this here, so other folks can jump in to answer.

By the way, the part of Gavreh-Taan is being played by Patrick Warburton.

Treyva spoke up. "Former friends and business associates," he said. "They turned on us, and now we're seeking, shall we say, reparations."

"Well," he begins, pausing to take another drag from his hookah. Smoke billows out of his mouth and nose as he continues in that same relaxed drawl, "Revenge is generally unprofitable, and revenge on principle generally means the wounded party violates their principles to achieve it."

Mia protests, "He didn't say --" but is cut off.

"Oh, he did. Not with his words, but with his eyes and his anger," Taan counters. He sits up, cross-legged, his round belly creating crescent-shaped folds in his tunic. "Who is this former friend of yours, then?" His voice is suddenly clear and sharp.

Upon hearing the name, Gavreh-Taan's eyes drift from Treyva to the others in turn, his serious expression morphing into a knowing smile. "You're Starfleet," he chuckles. “You’re Starfleet.”

Taan’s hearty guffaw fills the den, carrying on for several seconds, and even his own people seem confused by the humor he sees in the revelation. Reclining once again, he says, “You must be the captain of that ship, the Drake. Listen, I have no love for Schrepfermann and his cronies -- what his benefactors have planned will ultimately be bad for business.”

He pauses to draw again from the hookah, then continues, “A proposition, then. No coin, but a favor. Do it, and I’ll give you information that will lead directly to your friends.”

Tobin looks from the captain to Gavreh-Taan and back at the mention of a favor, his hesitation at the notion evident to anyone who happens to look at him. He clears his throat. "What sort of favor do you want from us, exactly?" he asks.

"Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves," Taan says. He catches Tobin's eyes and sees the man isn't going to budge, so he adds, "I also have a small problem with someone -- not on the scale of your former friend, captain, but a betrayal all the same. For my information, all I would require is minor action on your part; retrieving a small item, of great value to me, that was stolen from my home.

"A small favor for very valuable information."

"A statue of a black bird, perhaps?" Treyva quipped. He stepped to the table and settled onto a cushion opposite Taan, sampling one of the cheeses as he did so. "Tell us about your MacGuffin."

What do ya think, guys? Just accept blidly, knowing that we both know the stakes, or try to talk some more info out of him? I think we all know where it's going to end up....
