OOC:  Danny, did you want me to answer Lorna here rather than in the other thread?

OOC- James, either one is okay.

Lorna looked at Dragon's Honor and said, "PT is safe, sort of.  He's in a topless bar.  Lightfoot and company are under attack not far from here."  She sighed and added, "However, all is not well across the city.  It seems that the attack here was just one of many across the city.  SHOCK, the group, not the villainess you just apprehended, has launched some kind of all out cleansing attack on all the city's parahumans.  Our assistance may be required."

Then let's go. Where to first and how do we travel? I can carry you if you like, but you got here fast enough you may have a better idea. With sudden realization Martin turns to the Drs. asking, Can you get the other two down here to work on, or do I need to bring them in before we leave?

The elder Dr. Vovarsky said, "Go. I will take care of the others."

Lorna looked at Dragon's Honor and asked, "The Labyrinth or the Valkyries?"

The Valkryies first, after all they're all on the right side, then the Labrinth. Let's open the can on these guys, but I want to save someone to answer questions... even if you have to get them just conscious enough to do that. They have mom and dad... somebody pays for this one. Martin has a fierce look on his face at this point with his jaw jutting out. PT won't want to be there with the media, but you might want to let him keep the others updated... he knows the media's there. We need to take the Storms up on their offer of armor instead of pay for him right away. He needs the protection and the ability not to worry about being recognized.

Lorna nodded to Dragon's Honor and replied, "The Valkyries it is then.  The image I got from PT seemed to indicate that Paladin was the last one standing, and she's fighting in Norwood.  If you can carry me it would it would give me a few more moments to recover.  I will tell PT we're heading toward Norwood to help the Valkyries."

Done! DH picks up Lorna and starts toward Norwood at top speed, his force field up as he holds her securely but carefully.

As they reached the air, Dragon's Honor and Lorna could see several parts of the city that appeared to be in flames. It was  as if Black Monday was happening all over again.  Oddly enough, there was a concerted lack of police and emergency response personel.

They've either taken out the police and other emergency response teams, or they've decided they're overmatched for now, says Martin.

"I sense fear, a great deal of fear, even from the emergency response members.  They fear a repeat of Black Monday.  They're afraid that someone has another tactical nuke."

If so, we're not in a good position ourselves... but do you sense anything that would suggest that's true?

Lorna shook her head, "No, I really don't have that kind of power.  That's more of Leif or Corbin's realm.  If that's the case, about the only thing I could do is try to put things back together after they fell apart.  What has me worried though, is where is Alpha Prime. For someone who claims to be here to help, she's sure no where to be seen when the chips are really down."

To be honest, I've never bought her claim to be a help. We're not a member of her space community, so by default she has no real authority here. To remove the one who brought us the new technology was the work of a bounty hunter, not anyone in law enforcement. To remove the technology, and refuse to allow those who now understand it from using it is criminal in it's own right. Alpha Prime isn't here to help us. If she were, she'd have been caught in Black Monday, but she wasn't there... For that matter, if it weren't for her activities "in the name of galactic law" we wouldn't have the criminal element that we face even present here, and these people we face now wouldn't even dare to try this sort of thing. Now again when these criminals are trying to exterminate us, she is absent. That makes me wonder if we don't face another Black Monday in truth. Just think of the medical advances that she refuses to allow us to use in spite of what they would do for us. My brother is a close survivor of Black Monday, if mother hadn't used the technology that Alpha Prime forbids Vance wouldn't be alive today. Thanks again for helping with him. I don't know what I'd have done if Vance had died, but SHOCK would be bathed in blood if he had... Resentment, bitterness, and anger color DH's voice as he speaks of both Alpha Prime and SHOCK, and the feelings radiate from him, though gratefulness to Lorna for her help also radiates from him and he is careful that his arms don't tighten with his thoughts of the others and what they've done to his family: Alpha Prime stripping his parents of tools, and SHOCK taking his parents and home from him. He links the last two, believing that if the security systems had been powered with the technology his mother and father were capable of using SHOCK would have no chance of breaching those defenses. It's evident that he holds Alpha Prime directly responsible for most if not all of the city's, and his family's, problems today.

What do you think? Straight in, or set down away from the action before going ahead?
