OK, so 4 of the seven remain.  I will continue to NPC Rook.  The mage will remain missing.  I will ease Sarge out of party unless he returns.  Will post soon to advance party, just have some personal stuff to take care of first.

I will NPC players who have quit/disappeared for now.  I think, though, we will do fine with the core group that remains in future play.  I appreciate those of you who have stuck together.

It's a shame this game died. Especially since I put a lot of effort into my character XD
I'm in the army now, so I'm not on the PC much. (If at all :P)
Maybe I'll have more time when it's not as crazy around here.

The Marine shrugged and replied: "Recoil."

I haven't posted for like a month, and only 1 page was added, so I figured it's not doing so well. :P

Sometimes games move a little slow.  I'm more than willing to let a game slow down to avoid having people who can't keep up from dropping.

If everyone is finished, all I need is a start time and we can move onto getting team into place.  Please note that the Jammer will also jam team communications within range once it is activated.

I'm done :)

And as for speed of gameplay, I've appreciated the slower pace we've had. With SOX audits, the release of a new version of a production-critical application, disaster recovery rehearsals and other interesting things going on this fall, I've had less focus here than I would've hoped ;)

I should be able to post a couple of times per week at least as of now, and hopefully more often after October.

I too am ready to go. As jwarlander says, the last few weeks/month have had a brutal RL schedule, but I think I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  I also think that posting might increase as we get into combat.

Jwarlander,

From your last post here I get the impression that you work in power generation, for a regulatory group or as a consultant for the power generators.  I am just curious, as I work for a consulting engineering firm heading up their environmental department.  Two weeks ago I sat in a seminar where the reps from the Pennsylvania DEP presented their spin on how to comply with the EPA’s SOX regs.  It seems like a lot o new paperwork and record keeping to demonstrate compliance.

And Grendel, don’t go congratulating me on hammering corp criminals who are fragging the environment.   My role is more of helping those who make a mess clean it up and navigate the regulatory system.  I’m not so much a “defense attorney” (no I’m not a lawyer) for these guys but more of a government liaison.  I help them understand the regulations and what they need to do to comply.  I know that there are those who pollute just to save money, but for most of my clients it tends to be ignorance of regulations that gets them in trouble.   Usually, the environmental impacts stem from lack of knowledge about their facility.  Things like:  We didn’t know there was a petroleum tank buried there because we haven’t used it in 15 years; Oh, yeah I guess I do remember that that transformer was PCB containing now that you mention it, but no one thought about it since we bought the building back in ’86; or You mean those floor drains aren’t connected to the sanitary sewers?

Just a point of clarification.

Rook posted that we will meet one hour before dawn.  It was my understanding that this was the day of the drop, otr that it would occur at midnight tonight.  Should the post have read on hour before dusk?

I am closing this game officially.  I have had additional work in real life and cannot devote the time to maintaining this game.  Additionally, I think Shadowrun was a bad choice as planning and research tend to slow the game more than some players can tolerate.  For those of you who stuck it out to the end, Thank You.  I have enjoyed gaming with you. Best of wishes to all.

Sorry it didn't work out.  But I appreciate being introduced to a new game, Shadowrun is definitely a keeper. 8)
