I think this one is good... But Still Searching For Others... Give Me Time?...
--- Quote from: arakish on June 13, 2008, 04:57:45 AM ---Brandforden Tomlinson
Tomlinson's mind is bereft as a raft in a raging sea. He is no longer in the here-and-now but drifted into the where-and-when. Watching as the wolves circle him, Tomlinson begins to whimper and cry.
Suddenly he sees a door burst open to his right. Looking, a mask of fright and terror slaps onto his face, seeming as if more than any single man can endure.
Rushing into the pack of wolves, Tomlinson sees Anubis. The Egyptian God of the Dead. "What is wrong?" Anubis asks. Standing over him, holding an ankh staff, Tomlinson cowers away with the walk of a crab as he attempts to escape from his seeming death. "Where is the threat? I cannot see it, direct me!" But Tomlinson hears, "We're the threat? I cannot see it. I direct the boat."
Following Anubis, Tomlinson sees Choatonayu. An American Indian warrior who guards the portal of death. Choatonayu is holding a flint tipped spear fancifully adorned with the feathers of owls.
"No-o," he whimpers as he continues to scurry away from his assailants and their cohorts.
Tomlinson hits the wall. Realizing that its irrepresible and unforgiving sturdiness will no longer give him egress away from his tormentors, Tomlinson curls into a fetal position, whimpering, "Please. Let me live. Please, I have so much more to learn."
Tightening into a ball, Tomlinson actually begins to cry... "Please..." whimper. "Don't kill me..." whimper...

"My dear neice, please help those up front. If nothing else, I am sure others will help me if needed. That shot of yours can be deadly if you'd just focus. Instead of focusing on my well being, why not try to focus on my being well. If you know what I mean."

Agnes flashes him a huge smile. "Thank you, Uncle. I believe I shall." Once she is able to leave her wounded uncle, she turns her attention to their surroundings. She will look for signs of Big Bird's tracks or droppings. She is also quite interested in what could be causing the mist at the end of the ravine.

Nomination
Situation: PCs literally fought the battle that divided Heaven and Hell, then appeared in the "real world" a few millenia later. They are walking through a medieval city of 38,000 people for the first time. The other PCs are complaining of the smell and sanitation.

--- Quote ---Dorian walks quietly along behind the others. As they speak further about cleanliness and the smell, Dorian finally interjects. "Crying about a little filth? A little smell? The cleanliness of a man's body speaks nothing of his soul. And unless any of you have gained access to God's ability to read into a man's soul, we should not be judge of any here." Dorian then looks back to their guide, "Cathon, if God has indeed sent us here it is for one reason, and that is to achieve his desires here amoung you and your people. We are God's warriors, and that is our role. Let us meet with your high priest and then move on to find battle against the infidels." --- End quote ---
