I dunno, the way I see it there is only one thing that qualifies as a weapon: A combination of intelligence and an evil disposition.

Once you have those two, everything is a weapon. Without them, nothing is.
Eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog.
Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting, lizard’s leg and owlet’s wing.
   - Traditional physical spell components
You put your left foot in, you put your left foot out...
  - Traditional somatic spell components
Ooo Eee Ooo Aaa Aaa, Ting Tang Walla Walla Bing Bang.
   - Traditional verbal spell components
Take the lime and the coconut, and drink them both together.
  - Traditional potion formula

I disagree. You've read Of Mice and Men? He was a weapon in of himself, yet had no intelligence to speak of, and was as sweet as my iced tea.... and you know about my iced tea.

Personally....

1. Sarcasm
2. A sadistic female companion (redundant maybe?)
3. aa12 auto-shotgun. (for those who want the broad side of a barn to vanish mysteriously)
4. Lightstaff (range, cutting ability, and, when low on power, a q-staff)
5. Bursard Ramship with Planetbuster missiles. (I say we take off and nuke the sight from orbit... it's the only way to be sure.)
fav-or: fA-v&r
Function: noun
1 : gracious kindness; also : an act of such kindness

About the Rheinmetal...
ROF doesen't count, one shot should be enough.
Otherwise, just run like there was no tomorrow, or there probably won't be.

my list:

1. Minuteman III.
2. Staff of Mass Teleportation.
3. Staff of Lightning Bolts.
4. Heavy repeating blaster.
5. +25 adamantine (or Mithril) Bastard Sword or Katana.

And of course no "top weapons list" would be complete without this:

Well I don't know what the BFG does, but the guy holding it doesn't look like he can be trusted with a rubber ball.

Let's just say the player back in the day who played the idiot dwarven fighter who got everybody killed.... and then played the druid that got everybody killed.... and then played the paladin who got everybody killed... and then played the mage who got everybody killed...

...that guy kinda reminds me of him.

Go figure.  ::)

Does a bowie knife have an equivalent?

Or just imitators?
