Seeing as Gribble and Adel are arguing about who falls asleep the earliest (in my experience Adel would win the falling asleep competition every time, unless Gribble has sniffed a pint and was in a cinema):

What are the most amsuing/challenging things you have done to someone asleep without waking them, the usual hand in a bowl of warm water has been done too many times.

Personally this isn't mean but when Adel fell asleep at my place we managed to balance every cushion in the house (I think about twelve) on top of his head in a stack without waking him or toppling the cushions. We were about to start our own version of Jenga when he finally woke up.

There was this time when a friend and I were really drunk. He went to sleep. I can't remember what happened next, but it seemed really funny. Oh and when he woke up he got mad.

I'd be mad too... I hope at least you bought him dinner?  :P

If you read it, it's not what you think, it was a private joke I should not have mentioned.

The funniest thing MLW ever did when I was asleep was get herself pregnant.  I must have been asleep, honest!

I fell asleep on my last "boys weekend" and got scalped by my mates hair clippers.  Not funy and not fair as his idea of a late night isn't far off my idea of an early start.  Its a different ball game when you have kids.  Nevertheless I plan to get seriously even this weekend.  Any suggestions?
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance...

I've always found that if someone does something to you when you are alseep then at the earliest opportunity wait for them to fall asleep and set them on fire - you will never have any comedy "lads" jokes pulled on you again.

Makes the guy seem, well, sheepish.

I was reminded recently of the reason why we have hair, or rather don't have hair. It is so we can see if insects are on our bodies .. insects are easier to see if one doesn't have hair .. so much for primate diet ..

We are ticklish because we need an autonomic response to kick in when an insect touches us.

One fun thing to do to someone who is asleep is to strategically place an insect on their body ..

BTW did you know that some 70% of people have eaten a spider in their sleep (Could be wrong about the figure, but not the circumstance). Spiders like to burrow into corners or caves.

I think the spider figure is either 1.5 or 2.5 PER YEAR average, the 0.5 is the icky bit :o

Ok, here's the plan. Friend and you are sleepy. Let friend sleep. Place a kitchen cockroach on bed clothes aimed for face .. they like straight lines. Wait. If nothing happens, try roach from different angles

btw bare feet etc also good. Don't place on hands, but near hands, on wrists etc, out of reach of fingers.

This might happen a few times until friend wises up. Mine are very trusting.

A good variation is to have some shaving cream placed onto the hands of the victim. If they try to get roach off face with their hands, then ..

Of course, if you want to ditch this buddy, you can put a small amount of milk in his socks (not on person) or some ice in the shoes ..

Hide your wallet in their shirt, and then exclaim loudly that someone has stolen your wallet.

In the Last Valley, Michael Caine gives the best advise to a philosopher who is afraid of being murdered in his sleep by a town he has acted as judge. "Kill the priest."
