History
Sharalsis was born on the Dralasite colony of the Inner Reach of Dramune.  While the Outer Reach of Dramune is known for its criminal activity, the inner reach is relatively quite and peaceful.  This calm is generally due to there being mainly small communities in the colony, and little desire among Dralasites to amass power, prestige or money.  Regularly throughout the week, Dralasites gather in the village squares to debate matters of galactic importance, or just to discuss an interesting philosophical idea.  Sharalsis reveled in these communal discussions, and would often assume a leading role in managing the discussions or directing the topics.  Everyone could see that Sharalsis had a knack for moderating these debates, but most agreed that he didn't really add a great deal to the discussion.  After one telling debate, one of the elders left saying, "during the debate, I could not help but agree with Sharalsis, but now I don't even know what Sharalsis said," to which another replied, "that's because Sharalsis didn't say anything!"  It was after this that Elder Relasis approached Sharalsis:

"Young Dralasite Sharalsis, spore child of my sprout, you have a way with words, and can sway the opinions of even the most wise, but the words in your head are jumbled.  We have decided that you must learn what we can not impart, so that you may bring your own words to our discussions and debates.  Therefore, we are sending you to the outer reaches where you will board the first ship to leave this system.  Wherever the ship lands, depart and start your life.  Return to us when your thoughts are no longer jumbled, and your words are your own."

So, taking the Elder's council, and wondering how one unjumbles thoughts, he went to the outer rim.  There he told the captain of a ship that he was being sent on a pilgrimage to unjumble his thoughts, and that it would be a great service to help on this quest.  To this day, the captain can't figure out why he gave the Dralasite passage on the ship, or why he even charged 1/10th the normal price.

And so Sharalis came to the White Light system and descended to the planet of Clarion to begin his new life.
