Posting Conventions
« on: April 14, 2009, 12:08:51 AM »
The following describes the expected posting conventions:

Character Name in Bold

Character actions in normal, black text.

“Character speech in normal, blue text and quotations marks”

Character thoughts in italic black text (this is optional; some people prefer to show their thoughts with body language and wording)

Metagame description of action in normal teal text; include any relavent scores, modifiers, conditions, etc., that you think apply

OOC talk (minimized.  Use OOC threads or PM me, please) in maroontext

Always end your post in at least five 3d6 rolls for safe measure.  It'll save time.  Dice format is :_dice 3d6_: without any underscores.

Example:

Meynard

Here we go.  Meynard tightens his grip on his great axe, takes a deep breath and charges toward the knarr's pitching railing, hoping to reach it as the knarr crests a wave.  With a great leap, he screams, "For Pony!", hoping to land on an oarsman aboard the hostile drakkar.

Full move with a Power Blow roll to tripple ST for an ST-based Jump.  ST 16, Power Blow 11, Jump 12, Naval Training perk.

This is gonna be awesome if it works

Rolling 3d6:
(4+1+6): Total = 11

Rolling 3d6:
(5+3+2): Total = 10

Rolling 3d6:
(6+2+4): Total = 12

Rolling 3d6:
(5+1+5): Total = 11

Rolling 3d6:
(5+5+5): Total = 15

Update
Because editing a post can permit players to reroll their dice, no one should edit posts for mistakes.  Either proof-read your posts more carefully or makea  secodn post beginning with (in bold) <Character's Name> - Edit followed by a quote of the post you were editing.

Example:

Update

When directly involved in combat, please post only on your turn.  The end of each round will be marked by the GM with a summary of the preceding second's events.

Combat is chaotic enough.  Let's keep it all as clean and clear to follow as possible, please.
