Thanks everyone very much for playing! Like I said before....playing the financial campaign was something I always wanted to do.

Thanks for seeing it to the end.....so many games die before completion, I'm glad we could finish it.

I hope you all had fun. I know I enjoyed umpiring.

It was indeed fun! I enjoyed it and thank you for officiating.

Now we need to remember that we cannot allow another gladiator to get a +6 strength ever again.......
You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...  - Vizzini

Definitely had fun!

I'm glad you had fun umpiring, I especially enjoy having a human being able to interject humourous and pertinent comments to the action.

My only grumble is now that the game is over I dont have something to wastespend time on.

Ohh and never getting value from my vorpal sword.

I enjoyed the 'Commentary' part, and the shouts and curses from the stable owners. The behind the scenes machinations were also fun.

I'll have to consider another (different) game that could be played with cyberboard....there are many many to choose from.

An umpires summary view of the machinations would also be welcome.

I might try and sum up the machinations....most were people trying to do in Grandus (rigging fights, bribing officials or even poisoning Grandus' food!)

We can still all chat about the game here, but I'll be moving this game to the 'Sand Box'....where all good completed games go

It was indeed very good. Funny how you never realize how powerful a gladiator gets util it is too late. I wasn't worrying about grandus until the +4 strength came and then I realized how horrid any gladiator would be against him.
