"I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy..."

Actually, I'm not worthy.  I should have thought of this idea for my world of Havran.  Let the players help with the creation of the world while I do the maps.  Am I dumb or what?  O0

Anyway, the Whole Map is updated with the Meeting Place.

I had a world building project that went south.  Well, if went south means that all of the other worldbuilders left me hanging to do all the work, hehe.

This way, you guys had some motivation to build some stuff (you had to make it so you could actually have a character).

It's a sweet idea that I've never had a GM present an idea like this.

Sweet indeed.

When I am ready to do Havran, I'll do this.

Iwas thinking the lighting in a world with burning heavans would be different from our own and this lighting factor would effect the plants greatly. Chiefly plants would probably have varying collers of foliage so they could asorb the different spectrum of light. I think this may be similar to shade plants and I have found some pictures to ilustrate the posable difference. Im just picturing a different landscape of plants that are shades of red, purple, dark green and lime green rather than our standerd geen that dominates this worlds land scape

I picture trees looking more like this:

And plants looking more like these:

Nice plant pictures.

It would be cool to have varying degrees of coloration in the plants other than the standard green.

Cool.

What colors you did have would show up quite differently as well. With that much red in the ambient lighting, reds and pinks will be indistinguishable from light grey or white, blues will look purple, brown, grey or black.

I got this email about the illustrations for the setting, and I thought I'd share it with "yinz guyz." (Sorry, some Pittsburgh flavored dialect for ya, hehe).

Nick gave me your e-mail and said that you wanted someone to draw character descriptions, etc. for your Burning Heaven RPG website. Your universe looks pretty fleshed-out and interesting...you clearly put alot of time and energy into designing it. I have an affinity for fantasy and sci-fi, and your stuff looks pretty rad.

I work a lot in black and white ink, which is my preferred style, although I'm rather adept with most other media.  I've been using more color lately and have been getting unique and really cool results with Crayola crayons and Prismacolor pencils that I think would look excellent in a website format.

If your still interested send me a quick note, then I can get a couple examples done and send them to you to see what you think.

Thank,

Chris Piasecky

I'm excited about it.

I may ask some questions of you guys to further describe some of the races, if he needs some help translating your words into an image.

  Nice job!  They look cool.  Perhaps the color changes as well slightly on different days, or when storms are brewing.  Nice work.

Here is a new place to download the Burning Heaven maps.  It is a zipfile about 11.2MB.

Contents
Blank Map
Races Location Map
A map showing the Meeting Place location and the path of Kurak's Journey

Enjoy!
