Querie: If the .70 Sharps Rifle doesn't do any more damage then the more common .50 calibre model, Ill take a .50. Range = 250. How do the range modifications work. Do you take penalties for attempting shots beyond stipulated ranges, or is it just impossible?

I want to play an Indian. Like most ignorant white men, I know most about the Sioux, so I chose that tribe. He is estranged from his own people, actually a traitor to his own people, brutalized, culture-shocked personality. He will have already helped white pony soldiers slaughter Chiricaua women and children. But I think he found hinmself incapable of doing the killing himself. He just helped the white man find the camp. After that, he goes looking for some kind of answer. he doesn't find it in the desert. So, expecting the worst, he heads for what they call civilization.

Note I spend 20 DP on English, so I figure he can speak it? If not, let me know, because I want this PC to be able to speak his mind with clarity.

Got sick of hunting down stupid Chiricaua in exchange for the stupid white man's curses. The character looks good - but may I reiterate - I do need at least 1 'good guy' among the PCs... ;)

You are at full % up to Effect range (in meters), and half % at up to Max range.
I might be convinced to create a mid range at 75% for up to halfway between Effect and Max, since there is such a wide gap with rifles.  Don't have much problem with bows :)

The Sharps I have here is the .70.. but it requires a minimum STR of 13 to use it effectively.  Your STR is 12, so you would be at a penalty (don't know how much right now).  Perhaps something smaller... May I recommend the Spencer, it's a .56, but it's a lever action that holds 7 shots, each with more than enough power to take down a deer, if not a buffalo.
If it's range you're after, the Winchester '73 model is still a terrific piece of machinery.  It might not be accurate to a quarter mile like the ads say, but you could get a good 200 yards out of it, no problem.  Lever action, hold 12 shots with one in the breech.

Thanks Sorloc. After careful conideration of the angles, I took a point off POW and put it on STR, fixed the Skills Mods. Only change, it seemed to me was I got (+1) to Agility Skills - so that worked out okay. So I'll keep the .70 Sharps Buffalo Rifle.  ;)

As far as my list-o-stuff goes, here it is:

2 LeMats. The barrel is silver and slightly ornate. The handle is lightwood. However, what makes it stand out is that there appears to be streaks of blue veins running with the wood grain.
