Alrighty. Start here.
"How do you hold on to an angel?"

"Hook em by the wing joint. You know where it jogs in there? Clip or a claw... a snare would do it."

How many points do we work with?
Look at me still talking when there's Science to do.
When I look out there, it makes me glad I'm not you.
I've experiments to run.
There is research to be done.....on the people who are still alive.

Since it is a 'modern' game I will probably go with 50 point characters. Up to 40 points of disadvantages and 5 points of quirks.

Sure. There is much more likelyhood of that job existing.

Where did you have in mind for him to come from and all that?

Well, I was tending towards the U.S. But I have the general concept in mind. Once I see what you guys are going to come up with I can better tailor it to suit the players.

Well I don't really know anywhere in the US better than any other, so I'd either go for the area you want or where the rest of the players go.

Ok, lets start simple.

Urban or Rural?

Rural. Rural there is close enough to rural here (with cosmetic differences).

(I have never heard Trees defined as cosmetic differences. )

Ok. Rural it is. And just because it begins there does not mean it ends there.

Alright. That's enough for me to work on. Now you have to decide where he is from, and start putting him together.

So he will be a carpenter from Arizona. So I guess get to figuring. Probably need some help with his background story where the differences from it and modern day are.

I'll think on a back story.

Anything a carpenter wouldn't do in the alternate timeline?

I'm thinking he first fixes houses, or commercial work, schools, smaller buildings etc.

Not much gas around, so he might have to have bicyle, maybe with a small trailer to haul his tools. around from job to job.

So you see him as a private contractor, or someone who travels from job site to job site working for a construction company?

I think I would see him as a contractor.

What has the steadier work? Private is good if work are plentiful...but in this timeline the economy sounds a little strained. Then again he could be falling on hard times because he is in just this situation.
