Sometime during the ride he passes out completely. When he finally awakes he is in his tent and his bedroll. The air is cool and he can smell water. His dog is asleep beside him.

Jesse uncovers his bedroll and ginerly touchses his leg.

It doesn't appear to be infected yet, but it is very tender and swollen.

Jesse winces as he touches his leg.

He climbs carefully and slowly out of his bedroll and unzips the tent and peers through the flap.

The ground is covered in thick frost, and his breath is almost freezing as it exits. The dog whimpers a bit when Jessie moves, and then begins to lick his face. Their body heat and the thick blankets have been enough to keep them warm in the small tent, but it is very cold outside.

Jesse shivers as the cold air hits him.

"Easy boy, I'll be ok." he says to his dog as he gives his head a pat.

Where am I? Peggy better not have just dumped me somewhere and bailed.

He looks around a little from the relative warth of the tent. Can he see any other tents or buildings or anyone else?

As he cranes his neck he sees another tent nearby, there is no activity at it however.

Jesse breathes out with relief, watching the vapour hang heavily in the air.

"Looks like we're not alone at least."

Jesse pulls back inside the tent and zips up the flap. With some care, so as not to bump his leg, he settles back down and pulls the blanket over him and the dog.

"May as well rest. Nothing going on out there but freezing."

The dog(Got a name that I have forgotten?) looks at him sadly and whimpers.

Jese rubs Buster's head and scratches him behind the ears.

"Easy Buster, its ok. I'm just a bit banged up."

Jesse will lie in bed, unless he hears noise of activity outside.

He sits back down when Jesse pats him, but he still looks nervous.

About 30 minutes later he hears Peggie's voice. "Are you still alive in there?"

Jesse calls back, "Yeah, I made it through the night."

He crawls out of bed again, opens the tent flap and looks for Peggy.

"Where are we?"

"We are off the grid. Camping. Is your leg stiff from the cold?"

Jesse nods.

"Little bit. We staying here a while or packing up?"

She is wearing the same outfit as the last time he saw her, and seems barely fazed by the cold.

"I think we'll stay here a bit. Let your leg heal for a while."

Jesse is relieved to hear that.

"Well I can use the rest. Wheres here?"

Not a forthcoming one, but thats something, he thought. Jesse always hated waking up and not knowing where he was.

"How long was I out?"
