"Well, I can't take you to a hospital with a gunshot wound without explaining it. I believe I know enough to keep it from getting infected, but the bone is in bad shape. And to be honest I just really don't know where to go."

"I can't do much now except heal up as best I can. But sooner or later, I'll have to know, so I can at least look out for myself. Unless you're planning on leaving me to be killed by some stranger I don't know."
