Nameless

Rises in his saddle, Hammer of Balin held aloft and bellows (sound echoing from behind his metal mask), "FEAR THE BRIGHT LIGHT OF THE EAST!" and drops a Lightning Bolt on to the Gondorian riders.

Auris

"Ah, let there be death" and he prepares to raise riders and mount alike, forming undead cavalry.

A bolt of lightning erupts from Nameless’ hammer and strikes the Gondorian officer heading the charge. You can see the hair rise on his head as he is jolted...he almost falls of his horse, but manages to keep on and continue the charge (55 hits and at -5, made his riding check)

Ooc: any other missile attacks? (Jylnath/Grixis?)

Jylnath

The Easterling said, putting an arrow on his string, "our money is surely to be doubled to fight these fiends as well."

Nameless

Laughs, a hollow sounds, "Paid? If you survive surely. So prove yourself worthy of payment and survive." He laughs again.

The Easterling nodded, and picked his target.

Jylnath’s arrow does the trick...well dislodging the officer from his saddle that is...unfortunately for them man he falls to the ground, only to be trampled by the horses following him...he’s dead. Unfortunately this does not stop the charge...disciplined bastards. (High roll on morale check)

Meanwhile, the Easterlings have started to light some of the torches. They will need another round to finalise and they can run off to the fort.

2 rounds remaining until the clash...please declare actions and roll for any ranged attacks

Turns to Auris, "You don't happen to have control of the earth? Even a simple berm of soil would break their charge quite nicely ... "

Nameless manuevers his horse to face the charge, shield and hammer at the ready.

"Sadly, no. I need corpses. And I have no ranged abilities myself."

Jylnath

Two rounds remaining, that will mean a missile attack, and a full parry with the sword. The Easterling looked at the Easterling riders to see if he'd be trampled and needed to change position.

Nameless,

Replies to Auris, "Well there will be dead soon enough ... be ready to bring them on to our side ... Perhaps their captain who fell from his horse is already ready to join us?"

@Falco: Falco sees the Gondorian officers move up to the walls to oversee the coming carnage below. The archers remain in the towers. The remaining soldiers are behind the gate awaiting orders if it should become necessary to open the gate and/or move out.

@Nameless: You still cannot speak to Auris...you are charging up the hill...not standing next to him.

@Jylnath: If the group stays where they are...they will be right in the middle of two cavalries charging eachother...trampling and being skewered are then real dangers...so yes...unless you can stop the charge, you should move

Please declare actions. If I don’t hear from Grixis I will play him and assume he wants to cast another cold ball in hopes of stopping the oncoming charge. If that fails...RUN!

Jylnath

will run away from where he currently is and let the two cavalry hosts fight it out. "Men, let's run for it!" Nevertheless, he puts an arrow to the string.

** Thanks. How many rounds until I reach him? How many rounds until the cattle reach me? ... (So ignore the prior exchanges w. Auris and Jylnath unless they can hear me if I yell.)

@Nameless: 2 rounds until you reach the group, technically you are unaware that there is a gondorian cavalry unit charging up on the other side of the hill at the same time...you were aware of a signal to outside groups, but that’s it...the cattle will take much longer...100 rounds or so, so I wouldn’t wait for them
@Falco: The archers are in the towers overlooking the gate. The other tower was abandoned
