TEACHER

"How was your lunch with Kinkaid, Vigilance? What did you learn?"

The bespectacled hologram seems eager to know and wrings his virtual hands.
Look at me still talking when there's Science to do.
When I look out there, it makes me glad I'm not you.
I've experiments to run.
There is research to be done.....on the people who are still alive.

Runway - Freedom Hall, meeting room

Runway appears next to Vigilance with a plate with a turkey sandwich on it.

"Oh, you had lunch with kinkaid ...
What did you tell him ? "

He slowly walks away putting the plate back on a table.

Runway - Freedom Hall, meeting room

"We were at Fort Detrick and learned that the agent and the launcher were stolen with ... mystical means.
And even if you now told us that Mr Kinkaid is a friendly person, there are still some leads to him."

Runway goes on:
"The administration asks everyone who knows more about the Fort to answer a call.
One person didn't answer - retired Major Harris - and we found him on one of the picture you bring us.

Why didn't he answer the call ?"

_______

ooc: Sorry, its only me, but maybe we should go on ...

(I think we should move on to prevent stalling. There are several leads; The ShadowHawk or the Kansas commune of the Church of Divine Harmony. Who wants what?)

(I think I'll be heading to Kansas, Toto...)

Hello, IT, did you turn it off and turn it on again?

Don't think of it as being vastly outnumbered. Consider it a target-rich environment.

I'm being extremely clever up here and there's no one to stand around looking impressed! What's the point in having you all?

Runway - Freedom Hall, meeting room

Runway continues:

"We, ... Vigilance was just at the ShadowHawk."

He looks at the others:
"What do you think ?
We tell Fort Dettrick that ex-Major Harris is there and let them get some answers
with the plea to pass them on to us.
Maybe one of us should watch from a distance to interfere if ... supertrouble occurs.
Vigilance, you know the local conditions."

The last sentence was just a statement without a demand.

"We others should go to the commune of the church in ... where is it settled ?"

The head of the speedster shows a minimal blurr:
"... in Kansas."
___

ooc: So Runway would also head to Kansas.

Freedom Hall
Jordan Thomas - Vigiliance

Jordan leans into the table...

"Everything seems to be surrounded by the Kinkaid character. He seems to fancy himself as a transformer of men... Whatever that means."

He smiles a bit more...

"Whatever he is traveling in, seems to be built for a command center. The boat is heavily guarded and there is an array on top of the boat and something odd down near the waterline. We will have to check that one out as well. Your solider friends are with him, so the connection is made and we could easily round them all up and not have a problem with questioning, but that would not solve our dilemena. I think I will have to go to his church and see what is taking place. It appears that there is something going on as well with a new convert."

Leaning back he looks to teacher...

"If we split up, there is a greater chance of spring the moustrap on all of them, but the ship will be deserted with our main players. Maybe take the ship and then wait for the rats to scurry home?"

He then leans back in the chair and folds his arms...

"Either way, I will be expecting Kinkaid to come to me."

Freedom Hall
Jordan Thomas - Vigiliance

Jordan seems very stoic...

"To be honest, I think the Kinkaid gets his money by doing something to the people in this church. He is looking for a payday and I think I might have opened the door for him. He will want to talk with me again."

"Following the money, eh" Arcaene says just before chewing the last bite of his sandwich, draining the bottle of Coke.
"I'm more keen on his compound... and followers... expecting sort of the Jim Jones sort of thing, only not as soft and cuddly as he was. Say what you want, at least no one was stockpiling WMDs in Jonestown..."

Runway - Freedom Hall, meeting room

Runway nods:
"Arcaene will go to Kansas.
Will you also go there or will you await his coming here ?

I suppose you have a better insight in this.
Should we all stay here or take the ShadowHawk ?
Should we await Kinkaid at a place near the yacht club ?"

Runway examine the face of Vigilance closer:
Seems everything normal or does the facial expression shows something unusual like a brainwash ? *
___

* A possibility as an explanation for his long silence ;)

Runway examines Vigilance's face, or what he could see of the stoic crusader's face under his substantial mask. Vigilance seems as implaccable as ever and convinced of what he is saying to the group.

Runway's unease goes away and he awaits what the others have to say.

Runway - Freedom Hall, meeting room

"Kinkaid ?
There is a threat to Freedom City that we should end.

We should catch Force and his troops - at least one kind of mystic."

Runway looks at Vigilance:
"Or is it sure that with Kinkaid the threat ends ?"

Jordan Thomas - Vigiliance

Jordan smiles...

"There is a boos. You get them, you get the organization..."

Now you are learning Jordan. The criminal is not too hard to realize, but there is more than meets the eye with the fanatic. You must understand all the angels

But I do Rupert. There is the head, but you must worry about the tail as well.... Grab the boss and you have a place to negoatiate with the fanatics... Or get them to show themselves.

Runway - Freedom Hall, meeting room

Runway nods:

"OK, we follow your advice."

"But wait", he turns to Arcaene,
"you want to go to the church's site in Kansas.

Let us do this first."
