OK, I've requested a game board. I'm poking one or two of my friends to see if they want to join as well, but we have enough already should they decline.

Cool,

Be right there. By the way, I am going to do a version of Waldorf ("Waldorf is the one with the pug-like face, mustache, and whiter hair. In almost all productions, Statler appears on the audience's right and Waldorf on the left. A helpful mnemonic is that Waldorf has the wide face. ")

Picture an older noble who appears to be quite confused as to why, after all these years (?), he's been give the chance for fresh air and sun. Before departing he does ask for one thing - "A shave and a haircut ... Perhaps a bath."

"Do what you know, yet know what you do."

Room for one more?  Haven't played HARP, but looks close enough to RM to pick up quickly.  Still working on character concept.

Sure Jacinto Pat, and most welcome to it too!

That would be 7 now, 8 or 9 is still doable I think ;)

If there's room for 1 more I'm happy to join.

I'm new to PBP and relatively new to HARP but played a lot of Rolemaster.

Hi colin-ice

Welcome onboard as well!

NB: I have one friend who will probably join too (fingers crossed), so from now on new people will not be automatically added, as I don't want to go beyond 10.

I still want to be in this, but if you get overcrowded you can drop me out of the party, and I'll forgive you for it.... some day, anyway.

No no, I can use a big group with this*. Story-wise even more, but in order to keep the admin under control 10 is where I draw the line. I see Vaiuri made an account here, 1000 to 1 that's my friend I invited too, and then we'll have 9 (not 10, actually), but I'll regard that as complete for now.

* I don't want to encourage it overly much, but there will be a mechanism that keeps the game going if the group splits up temporarily, so having a fairly big number of players will be an asset.

There's room for new blood for The Perilous realm (TPR)!

After a few years of fun, much has been revealed about what the various factions are fighting for, but how to bring it all together, how to avert a reign of terror or worse, that struggle is only beginning! Through massive combat, guile, coercion or stealth, there are various routes to success - but none are easy, and the group could use a hand!

Openings include a dwarven heir repaying a life saved, or a wandering caster (any race), former mage apprentice, but I'm open to other setups as well. Knowledge of HARP can be pretty basic. Join the fun!

Actually, I'd be interested unless you're already fully booked.

I'm not very familiar with HARP, although I am very familiar with MERP and every edition of Rolemaster.

We have some spots (2 or even 3) in The Perilous Realm. The game has been ongoing for over 6 years already, but the pace is fairly leisurely. Fun and excitement are the keywords!

Set in a world where magic seemed to take a back seat, except for some spells of convenience, a group of nobles has found that this was far from correct. They've landed in the middle of a complex battle for primordial runestones, artefacts that, when combined, might reshape the very world itself. But the times are poor for discovering such power: many members of the group itself have suffered under the indifferent and incompetent, but harsh rule of the king and his administrators, but if anything a family of powerful nobility is worse - and they have some artefacts already. A rogue secret society is hunting the objects as well, and none of these 3 groups lack resources or allies. The group has thrown in their lot with a rebel against the throne, fighting for his people, and guided by a reclusive magister and his reluctant aide, the hunt is on across dangerous terrain and deadly intrigue!

The game is run based on HARP, though we tend to keep the admin light and simple. If interested, please reply (and PM me if possible).
