Also, it’ll be a Reason + Conn task vs. Difficulty 1 to know about the Forrest.
From our other chat. While I figure out what to say, let's seebwhat Treyva knows about the ship.

Treyva Reason (10) + Conn (3) task, D1, TN13
Rolled 2d20 : 13, 16, total 29

USS Forrest is a Chandley-class heavy frigate. Chandleys are known as heavily-armed command ships, with advanced shields and extensive shuttle bays (so extensive, in fact, that it could fit the yacht in its bay). They are, pure and simple, fighting ships.

The Forrest herself has operated as a "troubleshooter" in the Triangle Sector since 2282.

Treyva smiled. "It's good to hear from you, Captain," he said, "but an intercept won't be necessary. I figured that since we came all this way, we deserved a souvenir; it's me and part of my team on the yacht."

The Sabotage Team
The line is silent for a moment, followed by what sounds like chuckling in the background. Treyva can almost hear the smile in José's voice as he responds, "Well, we'll have to look up Starfleet's stance on prizes, but you're welcome to bring her aboard in the meantime. Do you know the status on the ground?"

The Surveillance Team
Dietrich turns toward the group, his face strangely content following his conversation with Treyva. He meets his daughter's gaze first, then drifts to Cole and Tobin in turn.

"I have no designs on harming either of you," he says, no malice in his tone. "And, while there may be some value to you as hostages, that's not something I can ever do.

"However, I cannot have you following me, or reporting where I'm going...," Dietrich says, gesturing to the other female guard, who produces a hypo spray and starts toward Cole. "It's not fatal, but you will be out for some time."

Niro and the other armed guard turn their disruptors on Cole and Tobin.

Treyva turned to Ally. "Set a course for the Forrest, Ally," he said, "and get us there ASAP." Returning to the communicator, he continued, "I seem to recall prizes being something of a regulatory gray area." He paused, and then in a more serious tone, he added, "I have three officers inside, Captain Tyler, and while I'm confident in Mr. Cole's abilities, I must say the odds don't seem to be in his favor." He took a deep breath and exhaled. "Schrepfermann didn't seem particularly upset that I'd liberated this ship, said it wasn't his only 'power piece.' His little starbase down there could be harboring any number of surprises."

Good night, separating player knowledge from character knowledge can be a full-on pain in the 'arse' sometimes....

Treyva sat quietly for a moment. Before Captain Tyler had a chance to reply, he said, "Schrepfermann isn't the type to duke it out. He has to have some sort of alternative escape plan; he took losing this yacht far too easily."

Treyva leaned forward and began pressing buttons on the control panel. "Captain, I'm going to look over some scanner data I gathered as we lifted off; hopefully I can figure out what he's up to by the time we dock. Treyva out."

Rising from his seat, he strode to the engineering space. "Sorsk, I need your expertise."

I'll get into specifics on what I think I'm doing tomorrow.

Okay, that was too easy. He has something else handy...but what?

Gonna get with Sorak and go over the scanner data, and check the yacht's databanks, to see if we can figure out what that "something else" is.

(OOC: So i'd like Cole to use the Move minor action to close right next to Dieter, then take an additional Minor Action to draw his weapon (cost of 1 Momentum?). Cole also has the talent Quick To Action which means we can retain the Initiative for no cost. Basically, I want him to move quickly up to Dieter and draw the concealed phaser to hold him as insurance so we can negotiate our escape. Assuming you're happy with these actions, I can throw in some dialogue as well).

"On my way, sir," replied the Vulcan Bennie making hisway to the cockpit.
Patrick, you've got a good point. I'd hate to think he has another Lightning-class stashed somewhere...

Renny, sounds like a great plan.
"Plus who is going to be consoling Sorak there?"

"The commander raises a valid concern," Sorak replied with his usual aplomb, "As you can see, I am beside myself with worry."

OOC: Let’s move into combat rounds.

Even though the female guard is making the first move, Cole is taking the initiative to change the situation, so he will take the first turn.

I’m attaching a Zone map for the house scene. For the yacht, we’re going to go with:

Lower Atmosphere
High Atmosphere
Low Orbit
Standard Orbit
Docking Range with the Forrest

We’re starting out with pretty much everyone in the “N Billiard” Zone (Zone 6), with the remaining door guard and the female guard with the hypospray in the “Entryway” Zone (Zone 4).

Cole is in Reach of Katya, Kantares, and Male Guard 3.
Katya is in Reach of Kantares and Tobin.
Tobin is in Reach of Katya and Niro.

Icons are:
DS - Dietrich Schrepfermann
C - Cole
SK - Kantares
K - Katya
T - Tobin
N - Niro
mG # - the three male guards
fG - the female guard with the hypospray

Remember, there are a number of billiard balls and two cue sticks on the table.

Current
Momentum 5 (1 pending, Cole)
Threat 11

Spaceworthy Cover Advantage (Katarina, Cole, & Tobin for their backstory on why the boys are helping her)
Familiar Systems Advantage (operating or manipulating Schrep's Household Sensor Suite)
Intermix Muckup Complication (any attempt to restore full warp power on the yacht)
Rotating Remote-Access Encryption Complication (any attempt to access the controls of the yacht remotely)

Renny, feel free to post Cole’s actions. Since he’s trying to get through an opponent to reach Schrepfermann, I’m going to call for a Daring + Security task, opposed by the same from the guard in his way, both at Difficulty 1.

Sensing the turn in events, Cole wants to get to Schrepfermann by any means necessary for use as leverage. He moves without telegraphing his intention, one hand outstretched towards the guard in his way, the other smoothly drawing the concealed phaser from his waistband.

(OOC: Daring (10) + Security (5) vs Difficulty 1 . Applicable Focus of Hand-To-Hand Combat

(OOC: Assuming you accept H-T-H Combat as an applicable Focus, that's two successes. i'd like to use the outstanding Momentum from the last task to allow two minor actions i.e. Move and Draw weapon. I'll keep the Momentum just generated in hand for bonus damage maybe.)

OOC: Yes, I'll allow the Hand-to-Hand Combat Focus to apply to this task.

Guard mG 3 Daring (10) + Security (2) vs. Difficulty 1.

OOC: Cole 2 Successes vs. Difficulty 1. Success, plus 1 Momentum generated.
Guard mG 3 2 Successes vs. Difficulty 1. Success, plus 1 Momentum generated.

By rule, a tie goes to the active character (in this case, Cole), with no Momentum being generated on the success.

Where does Cole want to end up: In front of Dietrich (between mG 3 and fG), to the left of Dietrich (and on the other side of mG 3), or to the right of Dietrich (close to fG and mG 1)?

OOC: Done. I attached the diagram to my previous post.

Are you folks going to keep the initiative and take advantage of Cole's Quick to Action Talent?

If so, who goes next, Renny?

(OOC: I'd like to use the Talent. I'm hoping Kantares will take action at some point but I think Tobin or Katya should take action against mG2. Hopefully if Cole can get the drop on Dietrich, this should deter FG and mG3 from taking action.)
